Notebook story: If colors were a monarchy, black would be the king. The way it compliments all the colors in the spectrum, yet maintains its neutral sophisticated vibe, makes it deserving of its own dedicated series. Every stationery nerd either owns a nice black notebook or has it in their wish list.
The idea for a black notebook was a no-brainer, making it on the other hand was surprisingly difficult. Digital printing, hand painting or picking a factory made black paper, all these choices result in a different shade and texture of black with its own pros and cons. After experimenting with multiple approaches and understanding the deeper nuances, we made the Slate Notebook: a black as coal cover, perfectly imperfect to touch, with the asterisk pattern screen printed in matte white. This notebook exudes boldness and luxury, and is undoubtedly our favorite.
